Miranda Lambert just joined the secret celebrity wedding club: The country crooner tied the knot with policeman Brendan McLoughlin in a totally under-the-radar wedding ceremony.
On Sunday, Lambert took to Instagram to share the first photos of her and her newly minted husband.
“In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” Lambert wrote in a caption, revealing the news of her new relationship for the first time and two photos from her big day. “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for… me,” she added, with a red heart emoji and the sweet hashtag “#theone.”
For the big day, which took place on January 26, Lambert wore a form fitting, long sleeved white lace dress designed by Lela Rose. Her husband donned a classic black tux without a tie.
The bridal designer took to Instagram to share their excitement for the singer wearing her creation, writing in a caption "@mirandalambert stunning in our “Canyon” wedding dress!"
The couple have not yet released information on where the two tied the knot, but we do know exactly how the two first met-and it's in the perfect meet-cute.
A source for People revealed the sweet way the couple first saw each other. Only a few months ago, on Friday, November 2, Lambert appeared with her Pistol Annies' bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley for a performance on Good Morning America. The country group was in New York City to perform their new single, “Got My Name Changed Back,” and promote their latest album, Interstate Gospel, which was released on the same day.
GMA films in Times Square, where McLoughlin works as a police officer with the New York Police Department. According to People, the NYPD confirmed that McLoughlin is currently assigned to the South Midtown Precinct, which includes the area where Lambert performed on the day she met her future husband. The police officer is reportedly known to often work concert security.
Cheers to these two and their cute love story.
